Matthew Lock
Matthew started his journey as a physiotherapist over 25 years ago when he completed his Physiotherapy degree in Australia at the University of South Australia. Not long after, he married and moved to Canada, soon settling in Chilliwack where he now calls home.
He is committed to empowering individuals from all walks of life in recovery from orthopedic and neurological injuries. His comprehensive experience addresses rehabilitation for injuries from sports or extreme outdoor activities, to joint and muscle strains from backyard and indoor hobbies, as well as joint replacements and arthritis. Taking time to help people understand their injuries and developing a personalized exercise program, he helps his clients on their path to recovery. Life is short and he is passionate about helping people excel in their choice of recreation, whatever the age or activity.
He also has extensive experience in rehabilitation for work injuries and understands the importance of successfully being able to return to occupational activity, recognizing the important role it plays in our lives both physically and mentally.
Chilliwack is a community with a rich variety of outdoor opportunities. From mountain biking, backcountry hiking, and fishing, to golfing, walking and gardening; connecting with nature brings balance to our lives. As an avid mountain biker, you’ll often find Matthew out on the trails riding or giving back to community by helping maintain the trails for all to access and enjoy.
